essent received iF design award 2025 (Germany)

“essent” (designed by Daisuke Kitagawa) by Takata Lemnos Inc. has been awarded the “iF DESIGN AWARD 2025,” a globally prestigious design award. The award is sponsored by Germany’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH each year.

Award site : essent – Wall Clock

essent is a clock designed to be easily readable for both children and adults, seamlessly fitting into various spaces, from private homes to public environments. It aims to establish a new standard in timekeeping. In addition to the juxtaposition of the duodecimal (12-hour) and sexagesimal (60-minute) systems, which are essential for recognizing time, the hands are designed to be clear and intuitive. Furthermore, the CMF (Color, Material, Finish) is utilized functionally rather than decoratively, enhancing its usability. By fundamentally re-examining the limited functions, materials, and manufacturing processes of a wall clock, essent incorporates sustainability from various perspectives. The result is an exceptionally pure and high-quality design achieved through letterpress printing.

With this award as a catalyst, we will expand the sales of essent, actively promote the integration of design in manufacturing, and strive to enhance our brand image.

We sincerely invite you to take note of essent and its distinctive qualities.
