PANECO CLOCK

The “PANECO CLOCK” uses a sustainable, recycled fiber board made from waste clothing as part of closed-loop recycling.

This wall clock is reusable and recyclable. Boards made from waste clothing show subtle differences in their color and pattern, which means no two are the same. Clocks that are no longer used are also collected and recycled as materials to be reborn as new clocks. The boards are cut out with a Thomson die cutter, which is used for cutting paper and wood. With its minimalist design that retains the expression of the materials, the clock is a piece of art that blends in with the space and a product that quietly conveys the passage of time.

Aiming for circular production and zero waste

PANECO® is made from textile materials such as discarded clothing collected from apparel companies and scraps generated in the manufacturing process.

PANECO®” is a sustainable, recyclable fiber-recycling board that is hard and easy to process from various fibers such as synthetic leather as well as fabrics. PANECO®” used for displays, events, furniture, etc., can be collected when no longer needed and recycled as “PANECO®” again.

Born in Tokyo. Graduated from KUWASAWA Institute of Design. 1986–1991, joined the KURAMATA Design Office. 1993, established IGARASHI DESIGN STUDIO. Initially centered around the design of commercial and other spaces, installation, and furniture, moving to the development of products, kitchenware, infant facility play equipment, etc., the scope is now expanding to “food, clothing, housing and education”. Member of the jury for the Good Design Award, and professor at the Department of Scenography, Display and Fashion Design, Musashino Art University. Winner of the Good Design Award, the Kids Design Award and other many awards.
