Designer’s Message

More dignity to wall clock.
Fluct is a wall clock designed with “dignity” as its theme, focusing on the expression of materials and textures, and thoroughly designed in every detail.
In this design, we aimed to provide an opportunity to resolve people’s stereotypes and value prejudices about product categories. The idea came from thinking about the “difference in values” between wall clock and watch, which are close to each other as objects that tell time. Of course, there are difference between wall clock and watch: those that are “used indoors” and those that are “worn and carried around”. One is “an accent for interior space” and the other is “a trinket that is sometimes treated as jewelry”. There are many differences between wall clock and watch, in terms of usage, size, materials, and production methods. However, when you think of purely “function,” there is not much difference between them. In spite of this, the general sense of value for wall clock is very different from that for watch. Therefore, we thought that there is a way to reduce the “differences in values” between them, and that there is also a way to design something that is required as a part of interior space, and we designed this clock to be “a wall clock with higher quality and dignity”.
The frame and face are made of natural wood for a soft and gentle look, the indexes have a characteristic mirror finish like inlays, and the dauphine hands for a classic impression. Fluct, with its comfortable dignity born from the contrast and harmony of these elements, blends in beautifully with any space.
This is an elegant clock that conveys the fluctuation and changes that occur every moment with time.
