Kotaro Usugami, designer of “nodo” by Lemnos, has been selected as a Young Japanese Design Talent in the ELLE DECO DESIGN AWARDS (EDIDA) Japan Nominees 2025, selected by the Japanese edition of the interior and design media “ELLE DECOR”.

nodo – metal tie / designed by Kotaro Usugami
The first collection of nodo, a brand that designs craftsmen’s skills as accessories.

The making of these bow ties was inspired by the texture created through metal processing. The bow has been cast in aluminum, and its design takes advantage of the characteristics of the material such as its light weight, corrosion resistance, and high plasticity. The neck strap, made of Japanese silk, has been sewn carefully by hand, one at a time. We have paid attention to every detail in creating this product.
