CLOUDED MOON, JUPITER
design : Noriko Hashida
This clock is made of porcelain with uneven relief lines. The clock’s surface is split by curved lines while the circumference is divided into 12 equal parts.
Time is given to everyone equally, but each person spends it differently, with many twists and turns. Sometimes you struggle and at other times relax. You may look back to the past or ahead to the future. These scenes are expressed by relief lines, and two different expressions are created through different curves.
The large curved lines of Clouded Moon express a quiet scene of clouds across a full moon. The winding lines of Jupiter convey a sense of dynamism, like the gas planet Jupiter.
The moist and fine porcelain material retains its beautiful texture forever.
