Lemnos Sustainability 06
Sustainability Business Model Transformation Mission by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC)
As part of the Sustainability Business Model Transformation Mission set by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC), Lemnos was selected as one of the Japanese companies demonstrating sustainable practices for a site visit.
The visit aimed to support Singapore’s sustainability leaders and companies seeking to strengthen sustainability capabilities by: (1) sharing insights into Japan’s trends and best practices; (2) establishing partnerships with Japanese companies; and (3) exploring business opportunities in the Japanese market. A delegation of about 20 representatives, led by SFIC Chairman Mr. PHUA Boon Huat, visited Lemnos.
Lemnos established its relationship with SFIC through its participation in the International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS). Thanks to this connection, Lemnos was recommended for the visit.
Alongside a business partner in Singapore, Mr. Fujiyama from Lingua Franca Holdings Pte. Ltd., Lemnos hosted a seminar-style presentation, introducing its brand and sustainability initiatives. The visitors expressed strong interest in Lemnos’ simple and minimalist designs that promote longevity, and its effective use of various materials in manufacturing. In particular, many questions were raised about background information for the PANECO CLOCK project, which repurposes discarded clothing as raw material.

This presentation allowed Lemnos to introduce its initiatives to many Singaporean companies and actively exchange views on sustainability approaches in both regions. Lemnos values this opportunity and remains committed to contributing to a sustainable society.
